Terms of Service

By creating an account or using JoinSpot, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and JoinSpot

JoinSpot is reserved for people who are 14 years of age or older. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 14. We may suspend any account we believe belongs to a person under 14.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

JoinSpot helps you discover and join in-person events created by other users. Events are organized by their hosts, not by JoinSpot. You attend events at your own risk. We do not vet hosts or participants and are not responsible for what happens before, during, or after an event. Use good judgment and prioritize your safety.

You agree not to harass, threaten, or harm other users, post illegal or hateful content, impersonate anyone, send spam, or use the app for any unlawful purpose. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant JoinSpot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the app. You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.

Some features and event tiers are paid. Prices are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Refunds follow the policy shown at checkout and in the app.

We may review, hide, or remove content and events, and restrict or terminate accounts, to enforce these Terms or comply with the law. You can report content or users from within the app.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JoinSpot is provided 'as is' without warranties. JoinSpot is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using JoinSpot and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for any lawful reason. Some provisions survive termination, including content licenses already granted and limitations of liability.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in the app. Continuing to use JoinSpot after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec.
